One way to reduce the potential for fire
damage is to get rid of combustible materials within 30 feet of your home. This could be fireprone vegetation, firewood stacks, combustible patio furniture, umbrellas, etc. Here are a few examples of ways to remove fire hazards from around your home: Remove combustible litter on roofs and gutters, trim tree branches that overhang the roof and chimney, eliminate all combustible materials within 30 feet of the home, make sure all grills and fire pits have no flames left in them before going to bed that night or leaving your home, and make sure all battery items that require to be plugged in are unplugged when leaving your home or turning in for the night.
